Bill Copeland Sports Centre

The Bill Copeland Sports Centre is a versatile, 2,000-seat facility in Burnaby, BC, featuring an NHL-sized ice rink and a 73,000-square-foot space adaptable for sports, concerts, conventions, and community events.

Known for its exceptional acoustics and modern amenities, it serves as a hub for hockey, lacrosse, public skating, and dry-floor sports during warmer months. Situated within the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex, it is surrounded by additional facilities like tennis courts, playing fields, and rowing areas, making it a key destination for recreation and events.

Swangard Stadium

Swangard Stadium, located in Burnaby’s Central Park, is a premier multi-purpose sports facility with a rich history dating back to 1969. Featuring a natural grass field, an Olympic regulation 8-lane track, and seating for over 5,000 spectators, it hosts soccer, rugby, football, and athletics events at local, national, and international levels.

Renowned for its role in Vancouver Whitecaps FC history and community celebrations like Canada Day festivities, Swangard Stadium remains a hub for sports and cultural events in Burnaby.

Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre

The Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre is a modern, multi-sport facility in Burnaby, BC, offering two NHL-sized ice rinks, multipurpose rooms, and warm-side viewing galleries for spectators. This 92,000-square-foot center accommodates activities like hockey, figure skating, lacrosse, and pickleball, alongside community events and summer camps. 

Named after Rosemary Brown—the first Black woman elected to a provincial legislature in Canada—the facility honors her legacy of social justice and community advocacy. Conveniently located near Edmonds SkyTrain Station, it serves as a hub for recreation and inclusivity.
