We are backed by a Mission that provides a clear and concise statement of our purpose, while guiding our actions and decisions towards achieving dedicated goals in the Burnaby sports community.
The Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame (BSHOF) was established in 1999 to identify and celebrate excellence in sport by individuals and teams with ties to the city of Burnaby. The BSHOF is a registered charitable organization managed by a Committee of volunteers with a passion for sports.
In addition to annually selecting a new class of inductees within four categories of athlete, builder, coach, and team the Committee also awards scholarships to two graduating Burnaby high school seniors to help them continue to pursue their academic and athletic goals. The BSHOF is committed to establishing and maintaining partnerships with our key stakeholders to strengthen the sports framework within Burnaby.
Recognizing and celebrating those who have brought honour to Burnaby through their incredible achievements in the arenas of sport.
Sports have the unique ability to cut across differences in age, gender, ethnicity, politics and wealth to unify, inspire, entertain and amaze. Our Inductees and our Scholarship winners certainly are living proof of this.
