The Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame is excited about the City of Burnaby providing a prominent place to inform Burnaby residents and visitors about the proud history and future of the city’s thriving sports community in its new Burnaby Lake Aquatics and Arena project.

Norma Foster is the first women in world to receive international judging status for world class karate competitions; began karate career in Scotland; was first woman to achieve her JKA Black Belt; won 1984 Canadian women’s championship in kata and kumite; a true pioneer in her field of bringing women forward in her sport.
