Our appreciation and gratitude goes out to all our inductees, nominees and scholarship candidates. The Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame is excited about the City of Burnaby providing a prominent place to inform Burnaby residents and visitors about the proud history and future of the city’s thriving sports community in its new Burnaby Lake Aquatics and Arena project.
Jerry Dugger was involved in Burnaby minor softball for the past 38 years; conducts a softball clinic each spring for Burnaby coaches; has coached in the Mite to Junior age categories in Burnaby; over past eight seasons his teams have won two national championships, four Provincial Championships, and two silver medals as well as a host of national age group championships over the years; he is truly Mr. Burnaby Softball and was a founding member of the Burnaby Minor Softball Association.
Recognizing and celebrating those who have brought honour to Burnaby through their incredible achievements in the arenas of sport.
Sports have the unique ability to cut across differences in age, gender, ethnicity, politics and wealth to unify, inspire, entertain and amaze. Our Inductees and our Scholarship winners certainly are living proof of this.
