Our appreciation and gratitude goes out to all our inductees, nominees and scholarship candidates. The Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame is excited about the City of Burnaby providing a prominent place to inform Burnaby residents and visitors about the proud history and future of the city’s thriving sports community in its new Burnaby Lake Aquatics and Arena project.
Jack Crosby, Burnaby’s Mr. Lacrosse; has been president of Burnaby Minor Lacrosse Association since 1964; has served the Burnaby lacrosse community for the past 55 years; over the years has organized and run the Burnaby Intermediates, Juniors, Seniors and coaches a peewee team; general manager of Burnaby Cablevision that won Minto Cup championships in 1977 through 79 and the Burnaby Lakers that won Minto Cup in 1998 and 2000.
Recognizing and celebrating those who have brought honour to Burnaby through their incredible achievements in the arenas of sport.
Sports have the unique ability to cut across differences in age, gender, ethnicity, politics and wealth to unify, inspire, entertain and amaze. Our Inductees and our Scholarship winners certainly are living proof of this.
