2020 Recipients
Eric Fong
A graduate of Alpha Secondary, Eric Fong has a second-place and third-place finish at two national weightlifting junior championships and has competed nationally in the sport of crossfit.
Caitlyn Lam
Caitlyn Lam competed provincially, nationally and internationally in karate while attending Burnaby North. At one nationals she won gold in two divisions. Lam also represented Canada at two international junior events.
2021 Recipients
Ryan Goudron
A Burnaby Central grad, Goudron is a middle distance runner (400 metre, 800 metre, 2,000 metre steeplechase) who is now in his second season with the University of British Columbia’s track and field team.
Ava Regan
Also a graduate of Burnaby Central, Regan has moved on to play midfield for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats women’s field lacrosse team. She has also played on several provincial teams for BC Lacrosse.
2022 Recipients
Jimmy Zaborniak
In his high school career playing basketball for Burnaby South, Jimmy Zaborniak led the Rebels to three provincial titles. Once for junior boys in 2019 and then the senior titles in 2020 and 2022. Zaborniak currently plays for the Simon Fraser University men’s basketball team.
Terrianne Zhang
Terrianne Zhang has played at six national badminton tournaments and has been ranked in the Canadian top 10 in doubles and mixed doubles. She is a grad of Burnaby North secondary and is attending the University of California Berkley.
